Love is patient love is kind

We all have our skeletons in the closet, a bad side of us that we don't want people to know. Because that's not all to us. And we try as much to hide our flaws in hope that people will only see the good in us. That whatever we have with others is pure, innocent, joyful.

I know of someone, who often seem to have an agenda that is hidden behind a facade of caring consideration. Sometimes I feel like exposing that mask because it is giving undeserving credit. Today, I held back, again, because I know someone already has a bad impression of this person. And I didn't want to make things worse. This got me to thinking, is there a point in saying it out? Maybe as a friend I should just give her the benefit of the doubt. Maybe deep down, all she wants is for someone to accept her for all that she is, the good, the bad, and still be her friend. People are just not too forgiving towards flaws these days, and i guess a true friend learns to forgive and forget. I just hope I am not pampering her, to put it blatantly, manipulative and self-interested, ways.

She's not a bad person, in fact, she can be really down-to-earth and honest. Just that when it comes to times like this, I feel that I can't tolerate the hypocrisy.Yet, God reminds us that,

"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking. it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs."

1 Corinthians 13:4-5

"It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres."

1 Corinthians 13:7
